ISLAMABAD (NPK News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday has directed
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to restore online game Players’
Unknown Battleground (PUBG).
While announcing the reserved verdict, the court has nullified the ban on the
PUBG game.
The decision was taken after a company controlling PUBG in Pakistan challenged
PTA’s move to ban the game due to mental and physical health concerns of its
users.
PTA had issued a statement in this regard, saying that numerous complaints
were received by the authority against the game, calling it addictive, a waste
of time and dangerous for the physical and psychological health of young,
impressionable children involved in playing it.
